Franco Lacosta Creative Director of Platinum Poire Royale

 Franco is an International High Fashion Model turned Photographer, Menswear Designer and TV personality. Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico, he studied Art History and Photography at Pratt Institute where in his third year he met Gianfranco Ferre in New York. An internship with Ferre changed his life. He moved to Milan and the rest is history.

In the summer of 1997 while visiting New York, Franco met Jeffrey Kolsrud, a Model Agent at a top modeling agency. After a year away in Europe Franco came back to New York and ran into Jeffrey again. Jeffrey asked him out on a date. As they started spending time together- traveling and working in Paris, Corsica and New York, the seeds of a long-term partnership were planted. Jeffrey expressed his desire to have his own modeling agency and Franco proposed they do it together.

In January of 1998, Q Management launched a boutique style, modeling agency with global ambitions and has since expanded into an international market. Q was led by Jeffrey, who managed the business and sold models to clients, while Franco discovered, developed, mentored and photographed the new faces models, turning them into super stars. Jeffrey continues to run Q Management while Franco’s main focus is now raising their 10 year old daughter, developing his art prints designs and fashion line, working as a  content creator for television, and Creative Director for Platinum Poire Royale.

Additionally, Franco has captivated audiences across America with his Latin warmth and temper.  In the original content he has coproduced and created for the TV network NBC Universal, while being featured in shows such as Model Latina, America’s Next Top Model and The Bachelor.  Franco has been featured on major media outlets such as   Style Network,  NUVO TV CW-11, MSNBC, LXTV-NBC, FOX TV, CW-11, Bravo, ABC, E Entertainment Television,  NBC,. Franco lives in Chelsea New York with his husband Jeffrey, their daughter Carmen and their cat Mia.
